Well-being at Home with Aura’s Online Fitness Classes!

The Aura Fitness Team has put together a schedule of Online Fitness Classes to promote and inspire well-being. These classes are a great way for us to connect with the community and keep motivating our wonderful gym members to reach fantastic fitness goals.

We were delighted to hear from Kate Harding, a local resident of Northop, who got in touch to give us some feedback about our Online Fitness Classes.

Kate takes part in the NERS (National Exercise Referral Scheme) Circuit Class with Aura Instructor, Sue, on a weekly basis. Here’s what she had to say:

I am a regular user of Aura’s leisure services and in the past I have sometimes attended the leisure centres up to 6 times a week – despite not being a very sporty person! Due to a knee injury, I was advised to enrol onto the NERS classes, where I met Sue, an Aura Instructor, who introduced the scheme and wrote an individual programme for both Mold and Buckley fitness suites. At both sites there are very friendly people of all ages and abilities, and I am always greeted by the staff with a warm welcome and a big smile. I feel that we are all in it together!

Over the past few months, I have taken part in Sue’s online classes which have become a fixture and something that I look forward to with enthusiasm twice a week! I have recently been on a nutrition and exercise regime guided by my son and I am proud to say that during the lockdown period I have lost a stone. Most importantly I feel so much healthier both physically and mentally. As well as cycling, HIIT sessions and yoga, Sue’s class has helped me to achieve this. With a wide range of ability and needs in the class, Sue’s support and guidance of every individual has ensured achievement and enjoyment for all. For me, the use of weights and/or maximum effort has pushed me towards success.”

Kate spoke passionately about the importance of health and fitness in her life and said: “I’m trying very hard to invest in my future and continued well-being, helped by lots of encouragement from Sue. Her classes are wonderful as they are inclusive and she is always supportive throughout the session, making it fun as well as productive. Being someone who has not been a natural sports lover or partaker, the NERS scheme, Aura, and Sue in particular, have given me the opportunity to enjoy, develop confidence, and improve both my physical abilities and health. I would like to thank Sue and Aura for the help and support along the way!

We would like to congratulate Kate on reaching fantastic fitness goals and thank her for taking the time to get in touch. We wish Kate the best of luck in the future and look forward to being a part of her fitness journey!
