Your library offers a number of free activities throughout the week, donations welcome.


Digital Dinosaurs and Learn My Way  10.30am – 12pm   Stuck in the past with digital technologies? Need help to use a computer, tablet or phone to get online? Make an appointment with our Digital Buddy who can offer free one to one support.

Welsh for beginners -2pm – 3pm – An opportunity to share a cup of tea and chat with Welsh learners and speakers.

Mold Reading group – 5-6pm Monthly Last Monday of the month


Tuesday Tales With a Teacup –10.30 am Fortnightly, come along and listen to interesting stories and have a chat over a cuppa

Family History Drop in 2.30-4.30pm (Monthly 1st Tuesday) – Need help getting tracing your family tree? Our staff will be available to help you discover more about your family history. We will provide you with useful tools and useful assistance to discover more about your past. Free Library editions of Ancestry UK and Find My Past are available to use in the library

Daniel Owen Museum

The museum traces the history of Mold as a market town.

There are Bronze Age treasures, including axes and jewellery, as well as a replica of the Mold Cape. You can experience Victorian Mold through the eyes of Welsh novelist Daniel Owen, who is seen in his reconstructed study and tailor’s shop

Please note: The museum is located on the 1st floor and is accessible by a passenger lift

Flintshire Connects

Flintshire Connects brings together Flintshire County Council, North Wales Police, Job Centre Plus and other partner organisations, to deliver high quality customer focused services to the public and vulnerable individuals in our community that find it difficult to access services online or by phone.

At Flintshire Connects, you can speak to one of the trained Customer Service Advisors about a range of Council services. There is also the facility to make payments for council services.

Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is available to anyone who cannot easily visit a library due to disability or incapacity. We deliver books or talking books on a regular basis, free of charge. When they visit our friendly staff can also show you how to get online to access our wide range of eBooks and eAudio books from home. Do you know anyone who could make use of this service? We can help.

The Library is situated within the Daniel Owen Shopping Precinct, Mold

At roundabout, off the A5519 take 2nd exit on to B5444 / Stryd Y Brenin / King Street

After 0.3 miles Turn left on to Earl Road / Heol Yr Iarll

After 0.1 miles Turn left on to West View, then first left onto Meadow Place.

Short stay car park on the left (Charges Apply). The Library is located a short walk on the right as you enter the Precinct Square
