Flint Library delighted to receive ‘Community Champion’ award from Hannah Blythyn, Member of the Senedd for Delyn

Aura Wales was pleased to welcome Hannah Blythyn at Flint Library on Friday, 15 March to receive ‘Community Champion’ recognition from the Member of the Senedd for Delyn.

The Aura team was put forward for the award by one of Flint Library’s customers, Carol Quinn, who submitted a nomination to the scheme launched by Ms Blythyn to highlight some of the individuals, groups and businesses who make a real difference in supporting others and their communities.

Carol said: “I am really pleased to have nominated the team at Flint Library for this award; they deserve it, they are all so lovely and go beyond to assist, help and support everyone that steps in there. It’s a true community hub. I felt this needed to be recognised as a sense of community is so important in our society and our town.”

Kate Leonard, Aura’s Libraries Development Manager, commented: “I am extremely proud of the team at Flint Library – this award is so well deserved, and highlights the invaluable work that Aura’s libraries are carrying out across the county daily. It is particularly pleasing to learn that the nomination came from one of our customers and that makes it even more rewarding. Congratulations to the Flint team!”
