Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, our nationally recognised Learn to Skate programme will provide you with the skills necessary to become a better skater.

Skate UK The Skate UK programme teaches movement and basic ice skating skills for skaters of all ages in 8 clear stages. Once all stages are complete, skaters will possess a good knowledge of the fundamental elements of the sport. The programme is completed under a progressive and continuous testing structure.

Skate Tots and Diddy Dragons (Wednesday 5:00-5:30pm) is focused on skaters under 6 years of age. Taught as a parent and toddler session, it is a great introduction to the sport for young children prior to enrolling on the regular Skate UK programme. Qualified instructors lead parents and children through various games and activities to ensure the children reach a comfortable level on the ice. *Parents must have competent skating ability in order to help their child during the session.

Rookie Dragons (Friday 4:00-5:00pm) is part of Deeside Dragons Junior Ice Hockey Club and offers the chance for children to learn basic ice hockey skills as well as elements of the Skate UK programme.

*Skaters keen to join our Rookie Dragons (Friday 4:00-5:00pm) ice hockey programme must have completed Skate UK Levels 1 to 4.
