Your library offers a number of free activities throughout the week, donations welcome.

Monday

Colouring Club for Adults 2pmResearch supports the health benefits of activities such as colouring-in for stress relief, relaxation, focus, creativity. You also have the opportunity to make new friends over a cup of tea!

Tuesday

Rhymetime 10.30am Rhyme time is a fun and interactive session aimed at babies, toddlers and their parents or carers. It is a great way to make new friends too, All welcome!

Online Basics 2pm – Need help getting online? Have no idea how to even use a mouse or a keyboard? Come along to our friendly sessions following the 6 week ‘Learn My Way’ online basics course. Free but please call to book a place.

Wednesday

Welsh Conversation Group -11am – 12pm – An opportunity to share a cup of tea and chat with Welsh learners and speakers.

Jigsaw Club 2pm Research supports the health benefits of activities such a jigsaws for stress relief, relaxation, focus, creativity. We welcome all to this social and fun group, we have jigsaws to suit all levels and abilities.

The Buckley Society Community Archive Project 2.30pm-4.30pm The Buckley Society Archive team meets on the last Wednesday of the month, except August. You can bring along items for inclusion in the archive, such as old photographs, have a look at the archive itself or just to meet the people involved and have a chat about old times in Buckley.

Thursday

Job Club Drop in 10am – 12pm (Fortnightly) – Run by our friends at Communities First, come along and brush up on your employability skills, get help with your CV and also job searches. All welcome.

Welsh stories and Rhymes 10.30-11.30am  Join our friends from Cymraeg I Blant for Welsh stories and rhymes. Aimed at babies 0-2 years. Suitable for new Welsh speakers, Non-Welsh speaking parents and fluent speakers alike.

Knit and Natter 2pm -3pm – All are welcome at this social group, bring along you knitting (or any sewing craft) and meet new friends over a cup of tea!

Buckley Museum

The Museum tells the story of Buckley’s place as a major centre for the pottery and brick industries from medieval times through to the Twentieth Century. You can see many of Buckley’s finest wares on display and browse through the extensive local history reference resources. As well as regular touring exhibitions the Museum also houses the James Bentley Collection. Please note: The museum is located on the 1st floor and is accessible by a passenger lift

Flintshire Connects

Flintshire Connects brings together Flintshire County Council, North Wales Police, Job Centre Plus and other partner organisations, to deliver high quality customer focused services to the public and vulnerable individuals in our community that find it difficult to access services online or by phone.

At Flintshire Connects, you can speak to one of the trained Customer Service Advisors about a range of Council services. There is also the facility to make payments for council services. Please Note: The Connects office at Buckley Library is located on the first floor which is accessible by a passenger lift.

Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is available to anyone who cannot easily visit a library due to disability or incapacity. We deliver books or talking books on a regular basis, free of charge. When they visit our friendly staff can also show you how to get online to access our wide range of eBooks and eAudio books from home. Do you know anyone who could make use of this service? We can help.

The Library is situated within Buckley Shopping Precinct, there are three entrances to the Precinct:

  • Main entrance Brunswick Road CH7 2EF – Pedestrianised
  • Long Stay carpark entrance off Precinct Way CH7 2DE

Short Stay carpark entrance off Padeswood Road North CH7 2JP – Nearest entrance and easiest for disabled access and deliveries.
