Aura Leisure and Libraries Limited is seeking a range of talented and experienced individuals to join the Board to support and provide governance to the organisation.

This is one of the first of its kind in the UK, aspiring to be sector leading in the future.

Aura is a charitable, not-for-profit, organisation which, from 1 September 2017, has been responsible for managing the majority of leisure centres and libraries previously operated directly by Flintshire County Council.

Governance of Aura is provided by a Non-Executive Board which is made up of local professional people who have committed to volunteering their time as they are passionate about sustaining and improving local leisure centres, libraries and heritage displays. We are now in a position to offer two more places on the Board increasing membership from 10 to 12.

Aura has an extensive portfolio including leisure centres, library and information services, museums, sports development, exercise referral, health and fitness, swimming, ice rink, school activities and holiday clubs, club activities and training and development.

We welcome expressions of interest and applications from individuals with strategic and clear thinking skills, the ambition and dedication to drive our Company forward, an understanding and ability to evaluate both social and commercial issues, and ability to contribute effectively as part of a team and with innovative ideas.

We particularly welcome those with professional experience in Leisure and Libraries and those with experience in fields that will help us make a difference to our future success such as; Health, Legal, Business and Commerce, Human Resources and Finance and other fields.

Our Board positions are on a voluntary basis with appropriate expenses.
