Aura Wales was very excited to host its very own Champions League Tournament, organised by Aura Football. The tournament took place across the weekend of 15th and 16th June at Deeside Leisure Centre, with over 35 teams attending.
The aim of the tournament was to promote fun football for all and to give every child a chance to experience what it would feel like to play in their very own Champions League Final!
All players involved received a medal for their achievements and a chance to lift one of the world’s most sought after trophies.
Gary Dixon, lead football coach for Aura Wales, was over the moon with the tournament’s success and commented: “it’s nice as a coach to receive so much feedback from clubs and messages from parents, on how we had such a positive effect on their child’s experience. It was really good to see so many children with big smiles on their faces leaving with their medals.”
Gary added: “I hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as I did; brilliant football was played by all teams! Unfortunately the trophy has now got to go back to Liverpool Football Club but keep an eye out over the next few weeks for what we have got lined up for our next event! Watch this space!”
Aura Wales would like to thank the Aura Football team for organising such a fantastic event and congratulate everyone who took part in the tournament.
