“Love Wales and Love your Library!”: The Big Welsh Treasure Hunt at Mold Library

In celebration of Saint David’s Day, Mold Library have hosted their very own special event: “The Big Welsh Treasure Hunt”.

The Big Welsh Treasure Hunt has been very popular with local schools, with two classes from Ysgol Bryn Coch and pupils from Canolfan Enfys completing the challenge so far. All the children who have taken part have received Welsh Dragon medals.

The Treasure Hunt will continue throughout February half-term and the winner of the lovely Welsh dragon puppet pictured below will be drawn during Mold Library’s Saint David’s Day Coffee Morning on Friday 1st March.  The team at Mold Library would like to thank volunteers Lily and Elis for their help setting up the challenge.

Library Assistants Sue Hipkiss and Sian Roberts say they are “very pleased with the positive and enthusiastic feedback received from this challenge”.

Sian and Sue would also like to say “a big thank you to all the children and adults who have been telling us what they love about Wales and our library on our hearts map of Wales.  We’ve had some lovely pictures and messages.”

The team at Mold Library have also entered the Mold Best Decorated St David’s Day Display Window for the first time! Take a look below!
