Following the First Minister’s announcement on Saturday, 19 December 2020 that new higher level restrictions relating to coronavirus will come into force in Wales with immediate effect, Aura wishes to advise customers of what this means in relation to its leisure centres and libraries.
ALL of Aura’s leisure centre buildings will CLOSE following the end of trading on 19 December and will REMAIN CLOSED thereafter for an indefinite period until further information is provided by Welsh Government.
Aura’s libraries will be CLOSED for browsing from Monday, 21 December. However, between 21-23 December we will CONTINUE to provide our Select and Collect service for customers. In addition, our Home Delivery Service will CONTINUE to visit customers as normal. Select and Collect and the Home Delivery Service will CLOSE at the end of the day on Wednesday, 23 December and resume from Monday, 4 January 2021.
ALL children’s play areas remain open and accessible to the public. The benefits of outdoor play are significant and keeping play areas open supports children’s mental and physical health and well-being. It’s great to see children and young people using our facilities again but please play safely and take the time to read our Safety Notice here.
Customers that have not received their full month’s value from the Direct Debits processed in December will be credited for the appropriate amount upon the re-opening of Aura’s leisure centres and the resumption of Direct Debit payments, with the next payment amount amended accordingly.
Throughout Aura’s upcoming period of closure, all members’ Direct Debits will be frozen and no further payments will be collected during this time.
Customers WILL NOT need to do anything to reactivate their Direct Debit payment upon the re-opening of Aura’s leisure centres.
For customers that have paid upfront via cash/card for an Annual, Monthly or Saver10 subscription, the previous expiry date will be extended to mirror the length of the period of closure for leisure centres.
Please can we advise all customers to follow us on Twitter (aura_wales), Facebook (walesaura) and Instagram (aura.wales) for further updates.
Aura’s Customer Services Team can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org during the period of closure.
We have been busy putting measures in place, in line with Government guidance, to make sure that our facilities are safe environments for when you return in the future.
